Something Different: Purple Rain

Fermented on fresh Black Currants from Holland Farms in Canard and chaptalized with local honey, this black currant cyser (a cider chaptalized/fermented with honey)  is rich and complex. The deep, dark gorgeous colour is the first thing to captivate, with rich floral, spice and red berry aromatics that follow up and invite you into the first sip, which has just so much going on. Floral, honey, baking spices, cherry, blueberry, honey, caramel all delight on the palate and entice you back for more. It has a great long finish with  just enough tartness and astringency to keep those more delicate notes lingering.
